The 57-year-old embraced a curvier look at the 2024 Gotham Awards. She donned an archival Dolce and Gabbana floral dress, which was fitted with a bodice that accentuated her figure. The 1998 satin gown flowed smoothly, ending in a dramatic train. She paired it with a sparkling clutch and Louboutin pumps, enhancing her long legs.
Her makeup, waves in her hair, bold red lips, and dark nails, gave off a sleek, '90s vibe, proving the timeless appeal of her style. The vintage dress, which has previously been worn by Sarah Jessica Parker and Whitney Houston, looked magnificent on Kidman.
However, during her red carpet interview, where she discussed her work and how she avoids burnout, fans were divided over her appearance, with some expressing confusion and others offering praise. One user exclaimed, "Wow, she's had some new work done. Almost didn't recognize her," while another observed, "Her face is completely different than even last year!"

A fan concurred, "Something doesn't seem right with her." Some fans noted a strange change on her face, with one questioning, "What's with her STIFF UPPER LIP????" More people wondered, "What's with her upper lip?" and, "Her upper lip doesn’t move 😲!" Another person urged, "Stop with fillers Hollywood!"

Several users criticized her appearance further, "She did something strange with her top lip....she can't talk....frozen 😲😲." One fan even remarked, "How weird her upper lip looks, it doesn't move not to mention how tight her face looks, like it's over-stretched," while another declared, "Ruined by fillers."

Nicole Kidman was thrilled to attend the Gotham Awards, where she was nominated for Outstanding Lead Performance for her role as Romy in "Babygirl". She shared her excitement on Instagram, writing, "Celebrating our movie #Babygirl at the #GothamAwards tonight 🖤."
The film, an erotic thriller, sees Kidman portraying a high-powered CEO who risks both her career and family when she pursues a passionate affair with a much younger intern, Samuel, played by Harris Dickinson.
In a recently released behind-the-scenes clip, Kidman talks of her experience starring in "Babygirl." She gushed, "From the minute I read it. I was obsessed with it. You don't see a woman going on this journey." The actress also described playing Romy, "It was a really extraordinary journey to go on. I could feel there was something really, really magical on the precipice."
For Halina Rejin, who is the writer and creator of the movie, "Babygirl" is a tribute to men and women seeking to liberate themselves.

Kidman said Rejin has a "wicked sense of mischief and humor," so at some moments, the actress expected scenes to go in a certain way but Rejin would steer them in a totally opposite direction.
Rejin also praised Kidman, saying that she and her co-star Dickinson, created an important connection that could be felt via their characters. She added, "There's like a spiritual experience to see her act."
Kidman explained that she wanted to be open and vulnerable which became possible thanks to Dickinson who was willing to be playful with her on camera. The actress and Rejin have encouraged people to watch the movie this festive season, describing it as a "hot movie."
Kidman is also currently starring in other productions, including season two of "Special Ops: Lioness." Netizens were taken aback by her appearance at the premiere of the series. While a few fans praised how beautiful the "Big Little Lies" actress looked, many others felt differently about Kidman, who denied using Botox years ago.

"I would go for a walk; I would go see movies," revealed Kidman, who was also asked if she went to an AMC, which she confirmed she did.

More back-and-forth banter ensued, with Kidman disclosing how she would hide her face in the theater whenever she saw herself onscreen.
However, social media users were less fussed about what she had to say, and instead, diverted their focus to Kidman's appearance, especially where her face was concerned.

Many believe that she has undergone too many facial enhancement surgeries. "She should leave her face alone," opined a Facebooker while someone else noted, "I didn't recognise [sic] her."

Agreeing with the aforementioned sentiments while referencing their disdain for Kidman's hairstyle, an Instagrammer penned, "She needs to not wear her hair like that anymore since all the plastic surgery."
"OMG her face 😆," remarked a spectator. Commenting on both the stiffness they noticed in Kidman's visage and her voice, a netizen stated, "Face does not move one little bit. Accent has changed somewhat too."
"Wow 😮 too much filler and botox," observed a social media user, who had seen another video of Kidman at the same event gushing over her eldest daughter's runway debut. Another echoed, "Full of filler."
On the other hand, some people noticed something off about Kidman's ears. "Her earlobes?" questioned a confused user. Referencing other celebrities while commenting on the actress' ears, someone else said, "They all look the same nowadays. But look at her earlobes 😮."

Responding to this comment, a netizen disclosed, "OMG thank you for pointing this out! I was just telling my sister I think my earlobes are ageing but after looking at Nics I've got nothing to worry about [sic] 😂." "Her ears are so big and saggy!!!" exclaimed an observer.

The recent buzz concerning the public's belief that Kidman has enhanced her facial features is nothing new, as "The Perfect Couple" star has been dealing with such rumors for a while.
Years ago, while speaking with Marie Claire, Kidman addressed such opinions by clarifying that, contrary to popular belief, she has never enhanced her face.

"To be honest, I am completely natural. I have nothing in my face or anything. I wear sunscreen, and I don't smoke. I take care of myself. And I'm very proud to say that," confirmed the actress. She also set the record straight on whether she has used Botox or not, which she said she hadn't.
In the same interview, Kidman made it clear that while she has never gotten any enhancement work done, she does not judge others for doing so.
She also mentioned, "I personally believe in physical health because of the way I was raised. I can't go in the sun; I'm fair-skinned. That was a nightmare when I was a kid, but it has some benefits now. It's that simple."
Kidman is concerned about the health of her loved ones, rather than consuming herself with obsessing over getting older. In another interview, the actress shared revelations about growing older in Hollywood.
The silver screen icon was asked whether or not she agrees that Tinseltown is changing its age-old rhetoric concerning aging.
Kidman agreed and divulged, "I mean, when you look at the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie category at the Emmys this year, most, or all, of the women are over 40. That's unbelievable. I think it's also women who are supporting other women."
She also stressed the importance of women building strong support systems and shared some of the things she likes to do that also help keep her confidence up. "I like to work out. I do something physical every day and I have to get outside [...] And my favorite thing is to swim!" shared Kidman.
As far as what her everyday skin routine looked like back then, Kidman revealed that while it varied, she would usually remove her makeup using Neutrogena wipes and moisturize with the skincare brand's regenerating cream at night.
