3. Why Prince Louis and his siblings might be asking about Prince Harry

It’s always fascinating to see how royal families, with all their pomp and tradition, balance the responsibilities of their titles with raising their children. As the years pass, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, the children of Prince William and Kate Middleton, are growing up before our eyes.

However, amidst their royal upbringing, there’s one noticeable absence: their uncle, Prince Harry, who was once very close to the family.

In recent times, there’s been concern that the once-tight bond between Prince Harry and his brother’s children has faded. The distance between Harry and the rest of the royal family since his move to the U.S. and the drama that followed have left many wondering whether his relationship with his nephews and niece can be repaired.

According to sources, Harry was a doting uncle, especially to George and Charlotte. He had big dreams of being part of their lives, but after stepping back from his royal duties, the connection seems to have weakened. In fact, Louis, the youngest of the three, might not have any strong memories of his uncle due to Harry’s departure while Louis was still very young.

As for Harry, he hasn’t given up hope. In his memoir, Spare, he expressed sadness over the distance and how it’s impacted not only his relationship with George, Charlotte, and Louis but also how his own children, Archie and Lilibet, have barely spent time with their British cousins.

Many experts believe that this strained relationship could haunt Prince William and Kate. Royal commentator Jennie Bond suggests that William and Kate are doing everything they can to ensure that their children, especially Charlotte and Louis, won’t feel sidelined in the shadow of their elder brother, George. They are actively raising their children to embrace individuality, and perhaps even pursue careers outside of the royal fold, giving them opportunities to explore life beyond their titles.

This approach could mean that, despite their royal duties, Charlotte and Louis might have paths that take them away from the traditional royal roles. The idea is to ensure that all three children feel valued and empowered to follow their passions, much like other members of the royal family who have taken on roles in the military, charity work, or other fields.

But the question remains: will the royal family heal these rifts, or will George, Charlotte, and Louis grow up without knowing their uncle and cousins? Only time will tell.
